Lahore, Last night, the first flight carrying 180 Pakistanis, including 140 students, from Kyrgyzstan landed at Allama Iqbal International Airport. The group was welcomed by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and other senior officials, marking a significant step in the ongoing efforts to repatriate Pakistani nationals amid recent disturbances.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Naqvi addressed the media during the welcoming ceremony, announcing that transportation would be provided for students needing to travel to other cities. He further stated that additional flights scheduled for today would continue to bring back other students, underscoring the government’s commitment to the safe return of all students from Kyrgyzstan. Minister Naqvi also took the opportunity to inquire about the conditions of those still in Kyrgyzstan from the students who had just returned.
