Karachi, A significant fire erupted at the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) camp of the 21st Battalion in the Pantha Chowk area of Srinagar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, on Saturday evening.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the blaze rapidly consumed the inner portion of the camp late in the evening. Emergency services were immediately deployed, and a rescue operation is currently underway to control the fire. At this time, there have been no reports of casualties resulting from the incident.
The ITBP, established in 1962, is one of India’s seven Central Armed Police Forces. It is primarily tasked with guarding India’s borders with the Tibet Autonomous Region. The fire at the ITBP camp in Srinagar is a significant event, given the strategic importance of the area and the force’s role in border security.
