Fire Engulfs Four-Storey House in Srinagar


Srinagar: A residential house in the Batamaloo area of Srinagar district in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir was severely damaged after a fire erupted, leaving the four-storey building partially gutted.



According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, the incident occurred in SD Colony, where the fire quickly spread through the structure. Local residents acted swiftly upon discovering the blaze, attempting to extinguish the flames before emergency services arrived.



The exact cause of the fire remains unknown, prompting police to register a case and begin investigations into the incident. While no casualties have been reported, the damage to the property is extensive.
