According to Kashmir Media Service, an official reported that the fire started around 2:34 am in a single-storey shopping line in Batamaloo. The fire caused significant damage to six shops, but the timely intervention of the fire brigade prevented the fire from spreading to adjacent buildings.
Fortunately, there were no reports of any loss of life or injuries due to the fire. The official mentioned that an investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of the fire.
