Fire Damages Mosque and House in Kulgam, Indian-Administered Kashmir

Srinagar, A mosque and a residential property were damaged in a fire incident in the Kulgam district of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir. The fire, which occurred on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, caused considerable damage to the structures.

According to Kashmir Media Service, an official informed the media about the incident in the Frisal area of the district. The fire initially engulfed a residential house, leading to its complete destruction. Subsequently, the blaze spread to a nearby two-storey Jamia Masjid, damaging its rooftop.

Efforts to control the fire were successful after several hours, thanks to the combined efforts of firefighters and local residents. The official stated that the cause of the fire is currently being investigated to determine its origin and circumstances.
