Bhopal, A tragic incident occurred during the Holi festival celebrations at the Jyotirlinga Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, where a fire resulted in injuries to 14 individuals, including priests and saints. The fire broke out amidst the Bhasham Aarti, causing panic and chaos among the attendees.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident unfolded when gulal (colored powder), being used in the celebration, accidentally fell on the puja (worship) plate, igniting a fire that quickly spread within the temple premises. The affected individuals, suffering from burns, were promptly taken to hospitals across different districts for treatment, with eight of the injured being moved to Indore for specialized care.
In response to the unfortunate event, authorities have initiated a magisterial inquiry to investigate the cause of the fire and to implement measures to prevent such incidents in the future. This incident has cast a shadow over the Holi festivities, a festival renowned for its vibrant colors and communal harmony.
