Islamabad, In a significant meeting today, Pakistan’s Finance Minister, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, convened with the Pakistan Business Council (PBC) led by Chairman Mr. Shabbir Diwan to address concerns and proposals from the business community. The meeting was part of ongoing efforts to refine the country’s economic policies and tax system.
According to Press Information Department, the PBC delegation presented specific budgetary and tax proposals aimed at improving the economic landscape of Pakistan. The Federal Minister acknowledged these contributions and directed the Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Malik Amjed Zubair Tiwana, to consider these proposals carefully. Discussions also covered the digitalization efforts of the FBR, designed to incorporate untaxed segments into the tax net, ensuring that the process remains inclusive and consultative to benefit both the government and the business community.
