Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb Engages with Pakistan Tax Bar Association on Tax Efficiency


Islamabad: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, met with the Pakistan Tax Bar Association (PTBA) delegation today, discussing strategies to optimize Pakistan’s tax system. The meeting, also attended by Malik Amjed Zubair Tiwana, Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), centered around enhancing tax documentation processes and advancing digital transformation in tax administration.



According to Press Information Department, the PTBA delegation praised the government’s efforts to widen the tax base and shared insights on improving the tax documentation system for greater efficiency. Minister Aurangzeb recognized the delegation’s contributions and reiterated the government’s dedication to minimizing human intervention and boosting transparency through digitalization. He emphasized the critical role of the IT sector in economic growth and called on the delegation to assist FBR by providing essential data to refine the tax mechanisms. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to continuous cooperation and dialogue to foster fiscal efficiency and economic progress.
