Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb Discusses Economic Cooperation with Korean Firms in Islamabad

Islamabad, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, convened a meeting with the Korean Ambassador and representatives from Korean companies operating in Pakistan at the Finance Division today.

According to Press Information Department, high-level attendees included the Secretary of the Ministry of Communications, the Chairman of the National Highway Authority, the Managing Director of the Private Power and Infrastructure Board, and senior officers from relevant ministries.

During the meeting, the Korean Ambassador highlighted the strengths of the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Korea and suggested exploring further avenues for collaboration. Korean company representatives expressed their concerns about project timelines and operational efficiencies. In response, Minister Aurangzeb highlighted the recent macroeconomic improvements in Pakistan, including a positive trend in foreign exchange reserves.

Senator Aurangzeb assured the Korean representatives of the government’s commitment to addressing their challenges and emphasized the need for relevant authorities to facilitate smoother operations for Korean businesses in Pakistan. The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to strengthen economic ties and address shared concerns to enhance the partnership between the two nations.
