Islamabad: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, presided over the Steering Committee Meeting on the Pakistan Raises Revenue Program (PRRP) today, which focused on innovative strategies to bolster the country’s revenue system.
According to Ministry of Finance announcement issued on 26 August 2024, the meeting gathered key governmental officials and leaders from the private sector, including the Minister of State for Finance and Revenue, Mr. Ali Parvez Malik, and notable industry CEOs. The participants reviewed various initiatives aimed at expanding the tax base, increasing compliance, and curbing revenue losses.
The session underscored a collective commitment to refining tax collection processes and achieving fair tax distribution among citizens. The continuation of dialogue with stakeholders and strategic adjustments are planned to ensure the PRRP’s successful rollout.
