Finance Minister Highlights Commitment to Inclusive Economic Growth


Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, during a meeting with British High Commissioner Jane Marriot, outlined the government’s commitment to inclusive economic growth through a series of short, medium, and long-term initiatives. This meeting, co-chaired by both leaders, was part of the FCDO-funded Revenue Mobilization, Investment, and Trade programme aimed at revitalizing the nation’s economy.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the session reviewed the progress in areas such as revenue mobilization, investment climate, macroeconomic governance, and trade, with special attention to gender and climate change. Minister Aurangzeb expressed satisfaction with the achievements of the programme so far and emphasized the need for government stakeholders to enhance their efforts in implementation.



The discussions underscored the government’s focus on harnessing support from development partners to bolster performance and implementation strategies, thereby ensuring that economic growth benefits all segments of the population.
