Seville: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb departed from Islamabad today for Seville, Spain, to attend the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development. The conference, scheduled from July 1 to 3, 2025, aims to explore financing strategies to advance the Sustainable Development Goals, especially for developing economies.
The event gathers leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss global development financing. Aurangzeb will represent Pakistan in main sessions and high-level side events. On July 1, he will co-chair a roundtable on private business and finance and deliver a keynote at the International Business Forum Policy Dialogue.
Aurangzeb is set to participate in a general debate and a discussion on revitalizing international development cooperation. At a UNICEF event, he will discuss innovative financing for children. Additionally, he will be the chief guest at a session on debt transformation and a panelist on SME finance.
The minister will also hold bilateral talks with key international figures, including John W.H. Denton, Secretary-General of the International Chamber of Commerce, and Steven Collet, Vice Minister for Development of the Netherlands.
His participation emphasizes Pakistan’s commitment to innovative financing and international cooperation, enhancing its role in global development discussions.
