Washington: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, held discussions with representatives from the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) in Washington. The meeting focused on securing expedited support for private sector-led initiatives in various sectors including energy, information technology, infrastructure, minerals, food, and agriculture.
According to Press Information Department, the Finance Minister highlighted the alignment between the DFC’s focus on sectors such as ports, telecommunications, energy, and supply-chain development with Pakistan’s development priorities. He extended an invitation to a DFC team to visit Pakistan to identify feasible projects and collaborate with stakeholders on developing business plans.
The discussions also explored the possibility of establishing DFC representation in Pakistan and future engagement with U.S. congressional delegations.
