Washington, D.C.: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, met with Mr. Tucker Foote, Chief of Global Affairs and Policy at Mastercard, to discuss strategies for enhancing digital payments and financial inclusion in Pakistan. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the World Bank-IMF Spring Meetings 2026.
According to Press Information Department, the discussions centered on ways to strengthen digital payment systems, promote financial inclusion, and encourage innovation within Pakistan’s fintech sector. Both parties expressed a shared commitment to advancing a secure and inclusive digital economy in Pakistan. Additionally, they addressed issues related to cybersecurity, cross-border financial flows, and remittances.
