Finance Minister Discusses Investment Opportunities with Dubai Islamic Bank CEO


Islamabad: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, engaged in a virtual meeting with Dr. Adnan Chilwan, Group CEO of Dubai Islamic Bank, to discuss potential investment opportunities and strengthen economic collaborations between Pakistan and the UAE.



According to Press Information Department, the meeting highlighted Pakistan’s improved economic conditions and its welcoming stance towards international investments, particularly in the Islamic banking sector. Senator Aurangzeb emphasized recent government initiatives aimed at stabilizing the economy, such as tax reforms, ease of doing business enhancements, digitalization of tax services, and strategic restructuring of state-owned enterprises.



Dr. Chilwan expressed confidence in Pakistan’s economic direction and affirmed Dubai Islamic Bank’s interest in expanding its role in the country, focusing on sectors like infrastructure and SME development. The Finance Minister encouraged the bank to increase its investments in Pakistan, assuring a stable macroeconomic environment and continued support for foreign investment.



The discussion concluded with a mutual commitment to deepening financial ties and supporting sustainable economic growth between Pakistan and the UAE.
