Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has pledged to bolster the agriculture and livestock sectors in Pakistan by enhancing financing mechanisms. His commitment came during discussions with key industry leaders, Chairman Nestle Pakistan Syed Yawar Ali and former President of the Farmers Association of Pakistan Afaq Ahmed Tiwana, in Islamabad.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Aurangzeb’s discussions focused on the government’s intent to prioritize these sectors within its policy framework. Syed Yawar Ali and Afaq Ahmed Tiwana proposed the creation of a dedicated body to develop evidence-based policies to advance sectoral growth and increase exports. The Finance Minister assured them that the relevant ministries would be consulted to consider this framework and work towards implementing actionable policies that yield measurable improvements.
