Finance Minister Celebrates FBR’s Record Revenue Collection for FY 2023-24

Islamabad: Finance Minister Mr. Muhammad Aurangzeb lauded the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for its robust performance in exceeding the revenue collection target for the fiscal year 2023-24, marking a significant financial achievement. During his visit to the FBR Headquarters, the Minister highlighted the team’s success in collecting Rs. 9311 billion, which surpasses the set target for the year.

According to Federal Board of Revenue, Minister Aurangzeb, along with FBR Chairman Malik Amjed Zubair Tiwana and other board members, held a celebratory meeting to acknowledge this milestone. The Minister of State for Finance and Revenue, Mr. Ali Pervez Malik, also participated via video link from Lahore and commended the team for their determination and performance amidst challenging circumstances.

The meeting not only served as a celebration, marked by a ceremonial cake cutting, but also as an affirmation of the government’s dedication to bolstering the FBR’s role in meeting and exceeding national fiscal objectives. The discussions further emphasized ongoing initiatives to enhance revenue collection efficiency through digitization and economic documentation, aiming to solidify the FBR’s pivotal position in strengthening Pakistan’s economic framework.
