Finance Minister Aurangzeb Attends AlUla Conference on Emerging Economies


AlUla: Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb is representing Pakistan at the AlUla Conference for Emerging Market Economies in Saudi Arabia. The two-day event, which began recently, is aimed at fostering discussions on building resilience and sustainable economic growth among global economic uncertainties.



According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the conference is jointly organized by the International Monetary Fund and the Saudi Ministry of Finance. The gathering has drawn participation from finance ministers, central bank governors, policymakers, and economic experts from around the globe.



Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb is set to participate in a high-level panel discussion titled ‘Navigating the Path for Resilient Emerging Markets.’ The session will be moderated by the IMF Managing Director, Kristalina Georgieva, and will include finance ministers from Egypt, Brazil, and Türkiye.



The conference is featuring a significant lineup of 200 participants and 36 speakers, with representatives from 48 countries. The event underscores the importance of international collaboration in addressing the economic challenges faced by emerging markets.
