Finance Minister Aurangzeb Advocates for Global Collaboration on Climate and Population Challenges


Islamabad: At the recent G24 Ministers and Governors Meeting in Washington, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, called for increased international cooperation to address the pressing issues of climate change and rising global population. Highlighting the specific challenges facing developing nations like Pakistan, Aurangzeb emphasized the need for joint efforts to improve both the mental and physical development of children affected by these global pressures.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Senator Aurangzeb, who was recently elected as the second Vice President of the G24 Bureau for the fiscal year 2024-25, stressed the critical need to address the increasing debt burdens on developing countries. He also advocated for enhanced representation of these nations in global financial institutions to better manage the risks associated with changing climate conditions.



The Finance Minister’s remarks reflect Pakistan’s proactive stance on pressing global issues and its readiness to collaborate on sustainable solutions.
