Lahore: Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb has outlined new initiatives aimed at modernizing the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and enhancing the country’s tax administration. Speaking at a graduation ceremony for FBR officers, Aurangzeb emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening tax policy and improving the overall tax system.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Finance Minister highlighted the government’s focus on providing relief and convenience to the public as a primary goal. He announced the implementation of comprehensive reforms designed to promote a cashless economy, noting that the positive effects of these changes are already visible within the FBR.
Aurangzeb underscored the significance of technology in today’s world, urging FBR officers to leverage artificial intelligence to boost efficiency and service delivery. He also pointed out that improving market conditions and enhancing economic stability are key priorities for the government.
