Islamabad: Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb has reiterated the government’s commitment to maintaining macro-economic stability through a comprehensive reforms agenda. This was emphasized during a meeting with the outgoing Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan, Mitsuhira Wada, who visited the minister in Islamabad today.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting involved an exchange of views on mutual interests, focusing on the longstanding bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Japan. The discussion also highlighted shared values and perspectives on both regional and global matters.
Finance Minister Aurangzeb recognized Japan’s crucial role in offering developmental and economic assistance to Pakistan. He acknowledged Japan’s contribution as vital in helping Pakistan overcome its economic challenges and in fortifying its economic stability.
The minister expressed optimism about the potential for further strengthening ties between the two nations. He highlighted opportunities for increased exchanges in various domains, including trade, culture, and education, along with enhanced people-to-people interaction.
