Islamabad, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb met with Mr. Naeem Mir, Chairman Supreme Council All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajran, to discuss the concerns and challenges facing the business community in Pakistan. The meeting also included the Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), providing an opportunity to address key issues related to economic policies and trade.
According to Ministry of Finance, Minister Aurangzeb expressed his appreciation for the contributions of the business community to Pakistan’s economic development. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to address the concerns of traders and businessmen while promoting policies that support business growth. He highlighted the importance of the recently launched Tajir Dost App, which is designed to facilitate the needs of the business community and encourage their participation.
Mr. Naeem Mir conveyed the business community’s concerns and suggestions, emphasizing the challenges faced by traders in Pakistan. He acknowledged the government’s efforts to create a conducive business environment, streamline taxation policies, and promote investment opportunities. He also assured that the business community supports the Tajir Dost App and is willing to participate actively.
The Finance Minister stressed the significance of collaboration between the government and the private sector, aiming to address grievances and promote entrepreneurship. Both sides engaged in a constructive dialogue covering various topics, including taxation reforms, trade facilitation measures, and initiatives to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Minister Aurangzeb reiterated the government’s dedication to implementing policies that encourage inclusive economic growth and empower the business community.
The meeting concluded with a commitment from both parties to continue the dialogue and collaboration, aiming to create a more supportive environment for business and contribute to Pakistan’s economic growth and prosperity.
