Finance Minister Advocates for Strengthened Pakistan-Turkiye Economic Ties

Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has emphasized Pakistan’s intent to enhance its partnership with Turkiye, particularly in trade, investment, and technical cooperation.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a meeting with the outgoing Turkish Ambassador Mehmet Pacaci in Islamabad, Aurangzeb highlighted the productive outcomes from the recent Turkish trade delegation’s visit to Pakistan. This visit facilitated discussions on new cooperation opportunities in key sectors such as energy, agriculture, infrastructure, and technology.

The session also marked the significance of the Trade in Goods Agreement 2022, viewed as a crucial step toward reaching a bilateral trade target of five billion dollars. Both parties expressed a mutual interest in expanding their trade and investment portfolio through increased Government-to-Government (G2G) and Business-to-Business (B2B) engagements.

Ambassador Pacaci reaffirmed Turkiye’s dedication to fostering shared objectives between the two nations.
