Islamabad: The Federal Public Service Commission has released the revised results for the 2021 competitive examination for the recruitment of Assistant Commissioner and Tehsildar positions in the Gilgit-Baltistan Secretariat. The announcement follows a legal resolution from the GB Chief Court.
According to Federal Public Service Commission, the initial results, notified on December 14, 2023, were delayed for three positions due to pending adjudication in the GB Chief Court of Gilgit. Following the court’s decision on September 24, 2024, the commission has now finalized the appointments. Among the notable changes, Touseeq Ahmed has been moved from the position of Section Officer to Assistant Commissioner, and several candidates have been appointed as Tehsildars, filling positions previously listed as “Nil”.
This competitive examination and its outcomes play a crucial role in staffing key administrative roles within the Gilgit-Baltistan region, aiming to bolster governance through qualified and merit-based appointments.
