Federal Ombudsman Addresses Public Complaints Against Passport Office Delays

Islamabad, Federal Ombudsman Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi has taken notice of the numerous complaints lodged against the Passport Office for undue delays in passport printing. In response, he has formed an inspection team to investigate the underlying causes of these delays and recommend solutions.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the inspection team, led by the Senior Advisor, will visit the Directorate General of Passport to identify the reasons for the backlog and propose remedial measures. They will also provide a platform for complainants to voice their concerns directly and meet with the Administration of the Directorate General of Passport to discuss steps being taken to resolve public grievances. This action by the Federal Ombudsman demonstrates a proactive approach to addressing public service issues and improving the efficiency of government departments.
