Sheikhupura: On the special directives of Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif, Army Chief Syed Asim Munir, and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain, accompanied by military officials, made a significant visit to Sheikhupura and Muridke following an attack attributed to India.
During his visit, Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain inspected the Government Jamia Ummul Qura Mosque, which was reportedly targeted in the incident. He announced a governmental commitment to reconstruct the mosque, with Prime Minister and the Army Chief pledging to fund the rebuilding personally.
The minister also extended support to those injured, offering flowers, fruit gifts, and assurances of optimal medical care. He promised comprehensive support to the families of those who lost their lives.
Rana Tanveer Hussain commented that Pakistan emerged victorious, claiming that their forces successfully countered India’s actions. He highlighted that Pakistan had only targeted military installations, whereas he accused India of striking civilian areas, including places of worship.
On international relations, Hussain noted that global opinion, with the exception of Israel, largely favors Pakistan’s stance. He credited Mian Nawaz Sharif with fortifying Pakistan’s defense capabilities, which, he asserted, has led to a shift in how the world engages with Pakistan.
Touching on the Kashmir conflict, the Federal Minister acknowledged the United States’ efforts but underscored that the resolution lies in adhering to United Nations mandates.
In a lighter vein, Hussain quipped about India’s technological prowess, suggesting it might soon be found at local markets in Lahore.
