Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh has pledged comprehensive support to foreign investors, focusing on enhancing collaborations with Malaysian firms. According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a meeting held on Saturday with Malaysian company representatives, Minister Shaikh highlighted the ongoing efforts to upgrade Pakistan’s port facilities, including those at Port Qasim Authority and Karachi Port Trust. The meeting underscored the Ministry’s commitment to addressing the needs of importers and exporters and improving infrastructure at major ports such as Gwadar and Karachi. Representatives from Malaysian companies expressed their intentions to expand operations through Pakistan’s strategic port locations, indicating a growing partnership influenced by the country’s maritime advancements.
