Islamabad: Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, the Federal Minister for Law, Justice and Human Rights, has lauded Meta for its significant contributions to child protection and privacy in digital arenas. In a recent meeting with Simon Milner, Meta’s VP of Public Policy for the Asia-Pacific region, the Minister emphasized the importance of continued cooperation to enhance online safety for children.
According to Ministry of Human Rights, the Minister praised Meta’s TakeItDown platform, a critical tool designed to allow users to anonymously report and remove explicit images or videos of minors from the internet. This initiative is part of broader efforts to combat online exploitation and harassment, reflecting a significant commitment to safeguarding children’s rights in digital spaces.
