Islamabad: A delegation from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) met with the Federal Minister of Health, Syed Mustafa Kamal, to discuss the college’s services and professional activities. The delegation, led by CPSP President Professor Khalid Masood Gondal, included key members of the college’s leadership.
According to Press Information Department, Professor Gondal highlighted CPSP’s contributions to both national and international medical education and training. He provided an update on recent collaborations facilitated by the Ministry of Health with several Middle Eastern countries and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
During the meeting, the Federal Minister of Health praised CPSP as a key institution for postgraduate medical education in Pakistan. He acknowledged the role of Pakistani doctors in enhancing the country’s image worldwide and emphasized the institution’s contribution to the healthcare system. Syed Mustafa Kamal reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting CPSP in its efforts to improve medical education standards and the health sector overall.
