Islamabad: Federal Minister for Interior, Mohsin Naqvi, chaired a meeting of the Core Committee on Security of Chinese Citizens, focusing on enhancing security measures and ensuring the safety of Chinese nationals in Pakistan.
According to Press Information Department, the meeting, which included key officials from various security and defense agencies, reviewed the current security protocols for Chinese citizens across the country. Minister Naqvi directed that a security audit be completed promptly and emphasized strict adherence to the newly established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), which were formulated in consultation with all relevant agencies.
He called for further recommendations from departments and agencies to continuously improve security measures. The meeting highlighted the government’s commitment to providing a secure environment for international residents, particularly in light of potential security challenges.
