Istanbul: Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control, Mohsin Naqvi, attended the SAHA Expo in Istanbul, marking his presence at this significant international event alongside representatives from various countries. The Minister inaugurated the expo, met with high-ranking Turkish officials, and explored advancements in technology showcased by participating nations.
According to Press Information Department, during his visit, Minister Naqvi met with General Metin Gurak, Chief of the Turkish General Staff, to commend the organization of the expo and discuss bilateral ties. The Minister’s engagements at the expo included visiting Pakistani stalls and expressing appreciation for the innovative technology on display. He emphasized that the International Expo-2024 is a key platform for fostering cooperation among friendly nations.
Minister Naqvi’s visit also included planned meetings with Turkish cabinet ministers to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation on border management, security, and combating human trafficking. He praised Turkiye’s ongoing support for Pakistan, underscoring the deep, brotherly ties between the two nations, and highlighted his visit’s primary goal to strengthen these relationships further.
