Islamabad: Federal Minister for Housing and Works, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, has unveiled a new digital services package by the Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation (PHAF), aiming to enhance services for members and allottees. The initiative, developed in collaboration with the National Police Foundation, was introduced at a ceremony attended by Secretary Housing and Works, Dr. Shahzad Khan Bangash, and PHAF officials.
The Managing Director of PHAF highlighted the benefits of this digital transition, focusing on improved fund transfers and record-keeping, which are expected to facilitate quicker decision-making. Central to this initiative are the PHAF Digital Portal and the PHAF Maintenance Services Portal, which promise increased accessibility and transparency for users, particularly overseas Pakistanis and potential investors.
Designed to simplify property management, the Digital Portal provides real-time access to property details, payment schedules, and allotment status. It also includes an online payment facility, project updates, and automated alerts for due payments and communications. The Maintenance Services Portal allows for online utility and maintenance payments and offers real-time notifications on service updates.
Minister Pirzada praised the PHAF team for their efforts, noting that the move aligns with the government’s push for digital transformation and e-governance. He stated that these digital platforms are set to enhance public service efficiency and integrity by providing accurate data and dispelling misinformation.
Minister Pirzada also encouraged other housing organizations to embrace merit-based, digital systems, underscoring the necessity of such initiatives in modernizing public service delivery.
