Islamabad: Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Aurangzeb Khan Khichi on Friday extended Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the nation, emphasizing themes of faith, unity, and cultural harmony following Ramadan.
According to Press Information Department, Khichi in his message described Eid as a culmination of self-discipline, compassion, and devotion, bringing joy and a renewed sense of collective purpose among Pakistanis worldwide. He highlighted the country’s cultural diversity, noting that the festival symbolizes “unity in diversity” as people across regions celebrate with a shared national spirit. Traditional practices like exchanging Eidi, sharing regional cuisines, and wearing indigenous crafts were mentioned as strengthening cultural identity and inter-provincial bonds.
Khichi underscored Islamic values of Ihsan and Muwakhaat, and paid tribute to the armed forces’ sacrifices, especially during festive occasions. He urged citizens to embrace cultural roots, promote local traditions and heritage, and pass these values to future generations, hoping for peace and prosperity in Pakistan.
