Islamabad, September 07, 2022 (PPI-OT):Khawaja Saad Rafique, Federal Minister for Railways and Aviation warmly welcomed Ambassador designate Jamal Beker Abdullah as first-ever resident Ethiopian Ambassador to Pakistan here today in his office. During the course of the meeting, matters related to mutual interest were discussed. Khawaja Saad Rafique congratulated the Ambassador of Ethiopia (Habesha) on opening a full-fledged embassy of Ethiopia in Pakistan which will help to promote trade, economic relations along with the already existing religious ties between the two countries.

Federal Minister said that increasing number of flights between Ethiopia and Pakistan is also under consideration which is aimed at improving people-to-people contacts and trade relations. Jamal Beker Abdullah, expressed his deep condolence over the loss of lives during the devastated floods and showed solidarity with the government of Pakistan. He also expressed his desire to work with the Government of Pakistan to further strengthen the long-standing relationship between the two countries.
