Federal Minister for Industries Discusses Steps to Boost Business and Exports

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain, emphasized the government’s commitment to aiding the business community and the broader populace through strategic economic initiatives. This declaration came during a meeting with a delegation from the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), led by its President Atif Ikram Sheikh.

According to Ministry of Industries and Production, the discussion focused on establishing special economic zones to stimulate investment and the necessity of aligning energy prices with those of regional competitors to foster economic growth. The Minister underscored the government’s efforts to address industrial challenges and enhance export capabilities.

President FPCCI, Atif Ikram Sheikh, outlined the potential for reaching an export target of 60 billion dollars, contingent on governmental adjustments to the electricity tariffs, aligning them with the needs of the industrial sector to reduce dependency on the International Monetary Fund and boost domestic exports.
