Federal Minister Engages with Chinese Kunlun and Oasis Groups, Reaffirms Commitment to Investment Facilitation


Islamabad: Federal Minister for Board of Investment, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, convened a significant meeting with representatives from China’s Kunlun Group and Pakistan’s Oasis Group, emphasizing the government’s commitment to fostering a conducive investment environment.



According to Press Information Department, the delegation was led by Mr. Xiong Xianglong, Chairman of Kunlun Group, and included key executives from both groups. The discussion highlighted Oasis Group’s ongoing and future initiatives, notably the Oasis Sino Pak Global Village, a major industrial and commercial project in Nooriabad.



The meeting revisited the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Kunlun and Oasis Groups in September 2025, underscoring mutual interests in sectors such as agriculture, energy, and infrastructure. Minister Sheikh reiterated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s focus on facilitating Chinese investors and detailed the potential benefits of Special Economic Zones in Pakistan.



Both parties expressed intentions to bolster collaboration, particularly in residential, energy, and agricultural sectors, reinforcing the longstanding Sino-Pak friendship and investment ties.
