Federal Minister Distributes Free Petrol in Chiniot, Emphasizes Commitment to Public Service

Chiniot: On Pakistan’s Independence Day, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, underscored the government’s dedication to public service by distributing free petrol to motorcyclists and rickshaw drivers, emphasizing efforts to propel the country forward under Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s leadership.

According to Press Information Department, Minister Sheikh, during a ceremony in Chiniot, provided 10,000 motorcyclists and rickshaw drivers with free petrol, funded personally, as a gesture of commitment to the local community. He highlighted his longstanding political service in Chiniot, noting his repeated election victories as a testament to his dedication. Sheikh also pointed out that local educational and medical facilities have been provided free to the needy, continuing a family tradition of public service dating back to the early 20th century.

Sheikh criticized the opposition for stalling governmental efforts to address national crises and lamented the current political climate which, he argued, hindered legislative progress. He reiterated the importance of negotiation and cooperation to advance national interests, expressing frustration over the opposition’s unwillingness to engage with the ruling party. He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to alleviating economic challenges like inflation and unemployment through initiatives like the petrol distribution program and contributions to local education and health services.
