Islamabad: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, has embarked on a five-day visit to Cairo to participate in the 35th International Conference of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs. The conference, which focuses on “The Role of Women in Building Awareness,” aims to address significant issues within Muslim communities, particularly regarding women’s roles in fostering awareness and harmony.
According to Press Information Department, upon his arrival, Minister Hussain was welcomed by the Ambassador of Pakistan to Egypt, Sajid Bilal, along with senior officials from the Egyptian Ministry of Endowments. During his stay, Minister Hussain is scheduled to engage with various international leaders and scholars to explore and discuss strategies that enhance the involvement of women in educational and awareness programs within the Islamic world. This conference is seen as a pivotal platform for promoting interfaith harmony and enhancing the role of women in societal development across Muslim-majority countries.
