Federal Minister Calls for Unified Parliamentary Walk on Youm-e-Istehsal in Islamabad

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Engineer Amir Muqam, has issued a call to all parliamentary parties to join in a protest walk in Islamabad on August 5, marking Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir. This day commemorates the revocation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status by the Indian government in 2019.

According to Kashmir Media Service, during a speech in the National Assembly, Minister Muqam emphasized the significance of the upcoming five-year anniversary of the event. He highlighted that Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir is observed annually with protest walks and demonstrations both in Pakistan and internationally, to condemn the Modi government’s actions.

Muqam’s appeal to the parliamentary parties is a call for unity, urging them to demonstrate a cohesive stance from the Pakistani government and its people against the ongoing situation in Kashmir. The walk, which will proceed from Radio Pakistan to D Chowk in Islamabad, aims to send a resolute message to India regarding Pakistan’s unified position on the Kashmir dispute.
