Beijing: Federal Minister for Petroleum Dr. Musadik Malik has advocated for stronger cooperation between Pakistan and China in the mining sector during his visit to the Shaanxi Non-Ferrous Metals Holding Group Company, a major Chinese manufacturer of non-ferrous metals.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Malik highlighted Pakistan’s rich mineral resources and expressed optimism about partnering with the Shaanxi Non-Ferrous Metals Holding Group Company to spearhead innovation in the mining industry. He emphasized the importance of geological surveys for discovering new mineral deposits and mentioned plans to enhance the Geological Survey of Pakistan through collaboration with the company.

The Chairman of Shaanxi Non-Ferrous Metals Holding Group Company reciprocated the sentiment, expressing hope for a mutually beneficial partnership and reaffirming China’s view of Pakistan as a valued partner, friend, and neighbor.

The meeting also saw the appointment of focal persons from both sides to concentrate on joint ventures, particularly in the mining of gold, copper, and other metals.
