Sheikhupura: In a media interaction held in Tehsil Muridke, Federal Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain announced a forthcoming program aimed at bolstering the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA).
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, this initiative is set to launch under the supervision of Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, with a focus on supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which are considered vital to the country’s economic framework.
The minister emphasized the government’s goal of increasing economic growth to 6 percent and boosting exports to $60 billion by the year 2030. He highlighted that revolutionary programs would be introduced for SMEs over the next two months to achieve these targets. He also credited Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif with having previously safeguarded the nation’s economy from bankruptcy and now steering it towards a path of stability.
Minister Hussain noted that even the government’s staunchest critics have acknowledged the improvements in the economic landscape, suggesting this serves as validation of the government’s economic policies. He further addressed the events of May 9, describing them as acts of political terrorism and rebellion, and asserted that individuals responsible for attacks on national institutions must be held accountable.
