Federal Minister Announces Enhanced Education and Economic Initiatives at University of Narowal


Narowal, At a ceremony at the University of Narowal, Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Professor Ahsan Iqbal, outlined a comprehensive strategy for advancing education and economic recovery in Pakistan.



According to Press Information Department, the minister emphasized the government’s commitment to equipping the youth with advanced education and digital skills to make Pakistan one of the world’s top ten economies by its 100th anniversary.



Professor Iqbal criticized the previous administration for its mismanagement, which he claimed disrupted the country’s economic and educational progression. He praised the current government’s efforts to stabilize the economy and restore international relations, particularly with Middle Eastern countries and China. The minister also highlighted initiatives such as the distribution of laptops under the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme, aiming to facilitate digital access and education on merit, with options for easy installment payments for those not qualifying on merit. Additionally, Iqbal addressed the social issues of intolerance and unrest, advocating for a society based on Islamic principles of peace, organization, and mutual cooperation. The event, attended by dignitaries and students, also served as a platform for the minister to denounce the misuse of social media for political propaganda, urging for a focus on peace, stability, and policy continuity to foster national progress.
