Islamabad: The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) held its first paperless meeting under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Planning, Ahsan Iqbal. This event marked a significant step towards digital transformation within the government, as the meeting was conducted entirely without paper.
According to Ministry of Planning Development and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal emphasized the government’s commitment to promoting a paperless environment. He stated that this shift is a positive development towards national progress and modernization. Iqbal further highlighted that environmental protection is a top priority for the government, and paperless initiatives are crucial for sustainable and eco-friendly growth.
The minister announced that all future CDWP meetings will be conducted digitally. Members have been instructed to attend with their laptops to ensure an efficient and organized approach. The Ministry of Planning is fully transitioning to digitalization, a move deemed critical for enhancing government performance and fostering transparency.
The transition to digital operations is expected to reduce paper usage and enable timely and effective monitoring of government projects. This initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of building a modern and digitalized Pakistan, paving the way for significant advancements, Iqbal added.
