Quetta: On Tuesday, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Quetta for a pivotal meeting with Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti to deliberate on enhancing the security measures in the province. The visit, aimed at reinforcing efforts to maintain peace and protect the lives and properties of citizens, comes in the wake of recent terrorist activities in the region.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the leaders condemned the recent acts of terrorism and paid homage to the sacrifices of martyrs who lost their lives defending the nation. Chief Minister Bugti emphasized the ongoing efforts to ensure stability and peace in Balochistan, vowing to eradicate the threats posed by disruptive elements. He stated that those responsible for violence and instability would face stringent legal actions as it is both a constitutional and moral duty of the government.
During the discussions, Minister Naqvi pledged comprehensive federal support to bolster Balochistan’s fight against terrorism, describing the struggle as a nationwide battle against anti-national forces. The meeting underscores a unified approach to counterterrorism and law enforcement challenges in the region.
