Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Visits Chinese Embassy to Discuss Karachi Blast

Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi recently visited the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad where he met with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong to discuss the recent tragic blast in Karachi, which resulted in the loss of two Chinese lives. The minister condemned the attack, offered condolences, and assured heightened protections for Chinese nationals in Pakistan.

According to Press Information Department, the meeting between Minister Naqvi and Ambassador Zaidong was marked by expressions of solidarity and grief over the incident that took place in Karachi. Minister Naqvi extended his deepest condolences on behalf of the Pakistani government and people, emphasizing that the entire nation stands with China during this challenging time. He informed the Ambassador about the ongoing investigations, promising that no effort will be spared in bringing the culprits to justice.

Minister Naqvi reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to the safety of Chinese nationals working on various development projects within the country. He underscored the importance of the Pakistan-China relationship, stating, “The attack on Pakistan-China friendship is intolerable, and we will not let this sinister plot harm our fraternal relations.” He further highlighted that protecting Chinese citizens in Pakistan remains a top priority for the government.

In response, Ambassador Zaidong thanked Minister Naqvi for his visit and the solid support from Pakistan, expressing hope for continued cooperation and mutual efforts to ensure the safety of Chinese individuals contributing to projects in Pakistan.

The meeting concluded with both parties reaffirming their resolve to strengthen security measures and to prevent such incidents in the future, thereby preserving the strong bond between Pakistan and China.
