Islamabad: Federal Minister of Interior Mohsin Naqvi recently visited Islamabad Model College for Girls, where he distributed sports kits and tracksuits to the students. During his visit, he explored the school’s facilities, including a modern computer lab that offers AI and blockchain training. The initiative is part of a broader effort to distribute over 20,000 sports kits and tracksuits across educational institutions in Islamabad.
According to Press Information Department, the event was hosted by Minister for Federal Education Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, who welcomed Naqvi upon his arrival. The Interior Minister praised the efforts of the Federal Education Ministry, particularly highlighting the launch of a free lunch program for primary school students in Islamabad. This program marks a first in the city’s history. Naqvi also assured ongoing support for the upgrade of educational facilities in the capital.
The visit included a tour of the school’s daycare center and interactive sessions with students, where Naqvi gained insights into the new technologies being taught. The initiative aims to enhance educational resources and support student development in Islamabad. Minister Siddiqui and Secretary of Federal Education Mohiuddin Wani also spoke at the event, emphasizing the collaborative efforts between their ministries to improve education standards.
