Islamabad: In a significant visit to the Islamabad Model College for Girls, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, accompanied by Federal Education Minister Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, distributed sports kits and track suits to students, highlighting the government’s focus on enhancing educational facilities and promoting sports among students.
According to Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, during his visit, Minister Naqvi toured the college’s state-of-the-art computer lab, where he discussed with students their training in advanced technologies such as AI and blockchain. He also visited the school’s day care center and announced a substantial initiative to distribute over 20,000 track suits and sports kits across educational institutions in Islamabad.
Minister Naqvi lauded Minister Siddiqui’s efforts towards education, particularly for the underprivileged, and announced a pioneering program to provide free lunches to primary school students in Islamabad—a first in the city’s history. He expressed a strong commitment to support the Ministry of Education in upgrading school facilities and fostering a collaborative spirit to improve education standards in the capital.
The event also included addresses by both education ministers and the Federal Education Secretary Mohiuddin Wani, underscoring a collective commitment to educational advancement in Islamabad.
