Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the residence of Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain, President of Pakistan Muslim League (Q), in Gulberg for a meeting. Provincial Minister Shafay Hussain was also in attendance. Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain condemned the Quetta railway station blast and expressed solidarity with the martyrs, offering condolences to their families alongside the Interior Minister.
According to Press Information Department, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain proposed that new roads and projects being constructed by the Federal Government should be named in honor of the martyrs. The Federal Interior Minister announced that the new projects in Islamabad would indeed carry the names of the martyrs, with plans to discuss similar implementations with the Chief Ministers of all provinces. Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain emphasized that this gesture represents the government’s commitment to acknowledging the sacrifices of the martyrs and their families, highlighting Pakistan’s unique sacrifices in the global fight against terrorism.
Mohsin Naqvi reiterated that the nation could never fully repay the martyrs for their sacrifices, made to establish peace in the country. He assured continued support to the families of the martyrs and stressed the importance of eliminating terrorism for future generations with national support.
In a lighter moment, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Shafay Hussain congratulated Mohsin Naqvi on Pakistan’s cricket team’s ODI series win against Australia after 22 years. They praised the efforts of the Chairman PCB and the players’ performance, expressing hope for continued success in the ICC Champions Trophy tournament.
