Washington: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held discussions with US Congressmen Thomas Richard Suozzi and Jack Bergman during a meeting in Washington. The meeting focused on strengthening Pakistan-US relations and addressing the situation in Afghanistan.
According to a statement by Press Information Department, the discussions between Interior Minister Naqvi and the Congressmen centered on promoting bilateral ties. Mohsin Naqvi extended an invitation to the Congressmen to visit Pakistan, emphasizing the significance Pakistan places on its relationship with the United States. He noted that such visits could further bolster cooperation across various sectors.
Congressman Suozzi, representing the Democratic Party, voiced his commitment to enhancing connections with Pakistan and announced plans to visit the country soon. The meeting also resulted in the decision to organize the Pakistan Caucus Conference in Washington, D.C., on April 30.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, was also in attendance, contributing to the discussions aimed at fostering stronger diplomatic relations between the two nations.
