Federal Interior Minister and Balochistan Chief Minister Commit to Strengthened Anti-Terrorism Efforts in Quetta Meeting.


Quetta: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Ahmad Bugti chaired a crucial meeting in Quetta, where the initial report of the railway station suicide blast was presented. Prayers were offered for the martyrs, and solidarity was expressed with the families of victims and the injured. The meeting underscored the need for decisive steps to eliminate terrorism, including an expansion of intelligence-based operations to thwart future threats.



According to Press Information Department, Interior Minister Naqvi assured full support to the Balochistan government in combating terrorism, pledging necessary resources and cooperation. He emphasized the importance of enhancing the capacity of police and Levies forces and announced priority support for training and capacity building of Balochistan Police, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), and other law enforcement agencies. Chief Minister Bugti echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the modernization of police and Levies forces and expressing gratitude to the Interior Minister for his proactive role in establishing peace in the region.



The meeting was attended by high-ranking officials, including Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Interior Shahabuddin, and IG Police Muazzam Jah Ansari. Participants reiterated their commitment to taking decisive action against terrorism, with an emphasis on expanding intelligence-based operations and enhancing the professional capabilities of law enforcement on modern lines.
